In short
- Bazooka Noodles is a single-player game against computer-controlled worms. It does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos or location.
- Your coins, unlocked skins, scores and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
- The game shows full-screen ads from Google AdMob between rounds and uses Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config and In-App Messaging). These Google services collect device and usage data, including an advertising or app identifier, as described below.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown and before analytics data is stored. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy options.
- Optional in-app purchases (premium skins and coin packs) are processed entirely by Google Play.
- We do not sell your personal data.
1. Who we are
The data controller is xBitsNL Gaming (Jeroen Oudshoorn), the developer and publisher of Bazooka Noodles. Contact: [email protected].
For advertising, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration and in-app messaging, the game uses Google services. Google acts as an independent controller or as our processor depending on the service and your region; each service is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
2. Data stored on your device
The game stores the following in the app’s private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us:
- your coin balance and best score;
- the skins you have unlocked and the skin you have selected;
- your settings: language, music and sound-effects volume, and vibration on or off;
- your ad-consent choice (stored by Google’s consent SDK).
This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings. Because it lives only on your device, it is not transferred to a new phone.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows full-screen (interstitial) ads from Google AdMob after some rounds, never during play. To serve, cap and measure ads, the AdMob SDK collects and sends to Google:
- your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / App Set ID) and general device information (model, operating-system version, language, coarse region derived from your IP address);
- ad interaction data: which ads were requested, shown, clicked, and basic diagnostics;
- your IP address, which Google uses for ad delivery, frequency capping, security and approximate location.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the game shows a Google-certified consent message (Google User Messaging Platform) before ads load, so you can allow or refuse personalised advertising. Where you refuse, ads are limited to non-personalised (contextual) ads. You can reopen the consent options under Settings → Privacy options, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Google’s use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Advertising policies.
4. In-app purchases (Google Play)
The game offers optional in-app purchases of premium skins and coin packs. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card number, billing address or Google account details. Google provides the app with a purchase token and product identifier so it can confirm the purchase and, for premium skins, restore it later. The game only keeps the resulting coin balance and unlocked skins on your device (section 2). Purchases are governed by the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
5. Analytics, crash reports, remote configuration and in-app messages (Google Firebase)
The game uses Google Firebase for four purposes:
- Firebase Analytics — aggregate, pseudonymous usage statistics, for example app opens, screens viewed, rounds started and finished (score, coins earned, round length), skins unlocked, purchases and ads shown, plus app version, device model, operating-system version and coarse region from your IP address. It is tied to an app-generated instance identifier and, where available and permitted, the advertising identifier. We use this only to understand how the game is played and to improve it. Analytics follows your consent choice (Google consent mode): until you have consented where consent is required, no analytics identifiers are stored.
- Firebase Crashlytics — when the game crashes or hits an internal error, a report with the technical details (stack trace, app version, device model, operating-system version, free memory and similar diagnostics, and a Crashlytics installation identifier) is sent so we can fix the problem. Crash reports do not contain your coins, skins or other game data.
- Firebase Remote Config — lets us adjust game settings (for example how often ads appear or how many coins a round earns) without an app update. It uses a Firebase installation identifier to fetch the current settings.
- Firebase In-App Messaging — lets us show occasional messages from the developer in the main menu (for example about a new version), never during a round. It uses a Firebase installation identifier to fetch the current message and records whether a message was shown, dismissed or tapped.
This data is sent to and processed by Google as our processor and is retained according to our Firebase configuration and Google’s Firebase privacy and security terms.
6. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
- Consent — personalised advertising, and analytics storage where consent mode requires it.
- Legitimate interests — showing non-personalised ads, crash reporting and fixing errors, fraud and invalid-traffic prevention, remote configuration and developer messages, and understanding aggregate usage to maintain and improve the game.
- Performance of a contract — processing an in-app purchase and delivering the purchased item.
7. Permissions
The game requests the INTERNET and network-state permissions to contact Google AdMob, Firebase and
Google Play, and declares the AD_ID permission so the advertising identifier can be used for the
advertising and analytics described above. It requests VIBRATE for short vibrations during play (you
can turn this off in Settings). Google’s SDKs also add technical permissions such as wake lock and install
referrer. The game does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permissions.
8. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data for money.
- We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, files or the contents of other apps.
- We do not ask you to create an account or provide an email address.
- We do not use the on-device game data from section 2 for advertising.
Note: sharing device and advertising identifiers with Google for personalised advertising may be considered “sharing” or “sale” under some US state privacy laws. In the EEA and UK this only happens with your consent; elsewhere, you can limit it through your device’s ad settings.
9. Children
Bazooka Noodles contains cartoon violence (worms with bazookas and explosions). It is not directed at children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country), is not listed in Google Play’s Designed-for-Families programme, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads and analytics are configured for a general (non-child) audience. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Data retention
On-device data is kept until you delete it (uninstall or clear app data). Advertising, analytics, crash-report, remote-configuration and in-app-messaging data held by Google is retained and deleted according to Google’s policies and our Firebase and AdMob settings (Firebase Analytics event data is retained for a limited period configured in the Firebase console). Records of your purchases are kept by Google under Google’s policies.
11. International transfers
Google processes data for these services on servers that may be outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
12. Your rights
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to data portability. Residents of some other regions (for example certain US states) have similar rights, including to opt out of targeted advertising.
- On-device data: change it in the game, or clear the app’s storage or uninstall it.
- Advertising and analytics consent: change your choice under Settings → Privacy options, or reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Firebase identifiers: clearing the app’s storage resets them.
For any question or request, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date above and, where appropriate, announced in the game or on the Google Play listing. The Google Play Data safety section is kept consistent with this policy.
